CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate Social Responsibility

Carter Lauren Construction Ltd believe that Corporate responsibility means taking positive action, treating our colleagues, clients, supply chain and the communities we work within respect, applying consistently high standards in everything we do and having a constructive role in the sectors in which we operate. We are committed to conducting our business in an ethical and sustainable manner, creating opportunities every step of the way. We take pride in everything we do; our values sit at the core of every action we take. In addition to challenging us to go the extra mile for our clients and employees, these values embrace leadership and integrity, ensuring that we always operate openly, transparently, and honestly.

At Carter Lauren, our sites are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme www.ccscheme.org.uk we recognise our responsibility to improve the image of the industry across all communities where we are working. As part of our commitment to the scheme, we regularly find ways to aid the local communities we are working within, by hosting school/university visits, contributing to clothes or food drives, contributing sponsorship to local sports team, charities and other good causes.

We have a solid track record of delivering projects in such a way that maximises the benefit to local communities, we also create opportunities for local people to become involved in our projects. Utilising local sub-contractors, allows us to give back to the communities in which we work and enables us to provide a high-quality product that benefits the area it belongs.

As an organisation, we believe it is important to provide opportunities where we can, not just to individuals via our work experience and apprenticeship schemes but to other organisations within our industry too. Being part of the Capital Training Group www.capitalctg.co.uk allows us to have a voice regarding the training and development of our industry and allows us to be stronger united.

In recent years, we have partnered with City Hospice; a charity that cares for patients across Cardiff with diagnoses such as Cancer, Dementia, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or other life threating illnesses, to manage their symptoms and offering essential support (www.cityhospice.org.uk)  Our fundraising efforts in support of the City Hospice has included events such as our Christmas Jumper Day, Afternoon Teas / Cupcake days and ‘Carter Lauren Pedal Pushers Event’.
